A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

The past year - 2021, was another challenging year for all of us with the ongoing effects of the coronavirus. However, we see signs that business and social environments are normalizing, with people adjusting and wanting to get along with their lives. We are pleased that against some headwinds, your Valley Forge CPCU Chapter successfully held all of its planned events in 2021, and plans to do the same in 2022. As before, our high-quality educational and social events are no cost to our Chapter members.

The state of the Valley Forge Chapter is strong, as measured by membership and financial metrics. With membership, we have held our own - likely better than national averages, and financially we actually ran a small operating surplus. The Chapter was among only 15 achieving the Platinum Level Award for the Circle of Excellence program in 2020 - which was announced in 2021, making it the 10th consecutive year for us. This reflects the committed leadership of the Valley Forge CPCU Chapter, and I am indebted to our officers and directors who continue to serve.

The CPCU Society has expanded the categories of people eligible for membership in 2022. Those who do not possess or are not yet pursuing the designation are now eligible, as are instructors of insurance/risk management at accredited institutions. Please spread the word to your associates and friends who might now qualify. Additonally, in order to continue our mission of promoting professionalism in the Property/Casualty Insurance Industry, it is critical to renew your membership and encourage others to do so.

We look forward to your continued support in 2022!
